“We’re fools whether we dance or not, so we might as well dance.”
[my art blog dedicated to everyday muses]
I promised you a Gewgaws & Gimcracks giveaway, so here it is! The winner will receive the pendant at the top—a small glass and stainless steel vial containing a fragment from the Nantan meteorite fall in the 16th century—on a sterling silver chain.
If you love the other two pendants pictured, they’re available for sale in my Etsy shop.
Rules:
- Liking this post gets you a point.
- Reblogging this post gets you a point.
- I’ll post again later in the day so west coast frayns and the night crew have a chance, too.
- Only one like and one reblog per post—no multiple points for multiple likes/reblogs.
- You don’t have to follow me to win, but everyone who already follows me gets a bonus point.
- Everyone who already follows me and hasn’t already won a giveaway item this year gets a bonus point.
- Giveaway closes at midnight Pacific Time, and the trusty Random Number Generator will pick a winner, who I’ll announce tomorrow.
- Don’t enter unless you’re comfortable giving me your name and address, because I’ll need that to send you a necklace. I promise to keep your information completely confidential.
- I ship everywhere the USPS goes.
- Yes, I am really giving away a necklace. No, this is not one of those Tumblr fake giveaway scams.
Good luck!

I’m crafting to take my mind off of the possibly being swept away by a tide of clay and rubble from the crumbling hill nearby.
So after finding myself insanely jealous of these adorable wire ear cuffs on etsy, I busted out the ‘ol pliars and spool of brass wire and made myself this.

The best engagement rings are the ones that hold significance. Japan-based Torafu Architects coated a ring in a thin layer of silver that rubs off over time to reveal an 18-karat, gold wedding band beneath. By wearing each ring, the time shared between two people can thus be physically seen, in order to remind them of how beautiful and strong long-lasting love can truly become as time passes.
This is lovely!

This is a TORQUATA leather butterfly stud earring on the Sipka website.
I just love the insanely unique eerie jewelry choices on this site!
Give it away, give it away now.
Who wants this necklace?
Good luck!
Well yes please.

It’s been in my store for, like, ever. And nobody’s bought it. So it’s going home with somebody for free.
Rules:
The contest closes on Monday at midnight, and I’ll do one post a day between now and then; I’ll tag each one with “FreeGewgaws” so you can find them if you want to.
To enter, heart or reblog one or more of my giveaway posts. You’ll get an entry for for each heart and reblog, but you only get one heart and one reblog per most. The more entries you have, the better your chances of winning.
The Random Number Generator will pick a winner Tuesday morning.
I won’t share your personal with anyone, but you’ll have to be willing to give me your mailing address if you win.
Details:
Two strands of delicate chain (approximately 15 inches and 18 inches in length) are joined with a sterling silver lobster clasp between a pair of garnet accent beads. Suspended from the chains are six faceted tourmalinated quartz briolettes. The stones are approximately 14mm long and 14 mm across.
